Salt Lake City an underground pipeline broke
When the pipe broke it sent oil into a creek that ultimately flows into the Great Salt Lake. The pipeline was shut off the next day as the 21,000 gallon spill coated some 300 birds at area creeks. Chevron said it would pay for cleanup.
