Usain was born with scoliosis and this later affected the way he ran. -
High School Champ
Usain Bolt at the age of 14 shocked the fans at his High school track meet where he recieved his first high school championship medal and taking silver in the 200 meter dash.

World Junior Champion
At the age of 15 Usain Bolt went to Kingston Jamaica to compete in the World Junior Championship.
Usain Bolt won first place in the 200 meter dash which made him the youngest world-junior gold medalist ever.
Bolt recieved the International Association of Athletics Foundation’s Rising Star Award.
He was then given the nickname "lightning bolt" later that year.

Although Bolt had a hamstring injury, Bolt was chosen to be on the Jamaican Olympic Squad. He was eliminated in the first round of the 200 meter, and endured more injury.

Breaking a 30 year record
Bolt broke the 200 meter record that was held for 30 years by a man named Donald Quarrie.
Also attended the World Championship in Osaka, Japan where he earned two silver medals. -
Beijing Olympics
Bolt won the 100 meter and set a world record time of 9.69 seconds. He set the world record in the 200 meter with a time of 19.30 seconds. He also holds the record with his 4x100m relay team with a time of 37.10 seconds.

Bolt gets disqualifiedBolt was disqualified in the 100m dash with a false start. He left the arena mad and didnt stay to watch his fellow training partner who took first with a time of 9.93s.

Moscow World Championship
Bolt took home the gold in the 100m dash with a time of 9.77 seconds, even though this was indeed a slower time for him it was just a meter half better than the usa sprinter Justin Gatlin who came in second.

Bolt has been thinking about retireing after the 2016 olympics. Bolt says "So far it's after the Olympics in Rio," "If I'm in great shape and I go there and do what I have to do, I think it would be a good time to retire on top and having dominated for so long."
