Purchasing Alaska
When we bought Alaska we gained a ton of land, it almost doubled our land. We gained more natural resources like oil, timber, and other resources. This is important because Alaska gives us a way to getting more resources and land at the same time. Lastly we bought for 7.2 million but with the resources if added up it is a lot more like 10 million more at least. -
Buying Hawaii
We gained land in Asia it will help us because it is a area we can trade easier with Asia. It is a couple of Islands that we can use to trade. It is a area that we can stop and refuel and give safety. We built a base which also helps us so we can influence Asian countries. -

It is important because this means that it is the end of the Spanish American war. We gained land like Cuba, Puerto Rico, and land in the Philippines. We became a world power after defeating Spain. -

This war was important we gained land like Cuba, Puerto Rico, and some land in the Philippines that the Spanish held. It was also our first major war with a major country besides Britain. We wanted change in Cuba, Spain agreed but didn’t do it fast enough. -

This is important because with the canal we can go to Asian countries and trade faster. Basically it linked the Atlantic to the Pacific. -

This is important because over 100,000 Russo troops and however many troops from Japan died during this war. But if both sides kept fighting it would have hurt both countries for a while. Thankfully Teddy Roosevelt stepped in and stopped them from hurting anymore troops. -
Anti-Asian Prejudice Troubles Relations
Roosevelt agreed to a pact that said we would stop being prejudice as long as Japan limited the immigration to the US. This is important because they stopped being prejudice to Asians. -

This is important because a country close to the United States was in the mist of war and could make America part of this war. Eventually Wilson did send troops to stop the fighting there.
