World war 1 started with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinard of Austria-Hungry. The war later formed into to sides, the Allies which consisted of Great Britiain, Russia, France, Italy and the United states joined later into the war. The other side was the Central powers, consisting of high powered Germany, Austria-Hungury, and the Ottoman Empire. This war lasted for roughly 4 years and will go down as one of the bloodiest wars ever, taking millions of lives all together. -

The dust bowl started when farmers over cultiviated there fields, which started te dust bowl. The dust bowl consisted of multiple extreme dust storms that destroyed the agriculture of the land. The dust storm was very tragic as it cut off food supplies for many families and companies. -
World War 2
World war 2 is deifinetly the most known war throughout history. This war consisted of two sides, the Axis and the Allies. The Allies consisted of the Soviet Union, Great Britain, and the United States. The Axis nations were mainly Germany, Italy, Japan, and other small nations. The war lasted almost 6 years, with the Allies eventually coming out on top. Hilter had been taken down but not before he murdered over six million Jews, which would be later known as the Holocaust. -
Jackie Robinson breaks the color barrier
This event is arguably the most important events in the history of sports. Jackie Robinson was a great baseball player and everyone knew that, they just didn't know if he was ready for the MLB. Jackies' first game in the majors was against the Boston Braves, who were definently against the idea of Negro's in the MLB. The fans hated him most, shouting insults and racial slurs at him. He played through all of this, and later laid down a perfefct bunt to win the game. -
Cold war
The Cold war was between the United States and the Soviet Union. This wasn't your typical war with guns, bullets, and extreme machinery. This two nations had just defeated the Axis nations in World War 2 and had emerged as two of the worlds superpowers, but they didn't get along to great. The US was concerned that Russia would try to expanded into Europe and eventually try to take over the whole world. This war lasted from 1947-1991, which makes it one of the longested "wars" ever. -
Tiger Woods first Major victory
This was the beginning of one of the best golfers in the history of golf itself. This was Tiger Woods rookie year on the tour and only his second victory ever. Tiger's victory is one of the most lopsided victories ever, with him winning by 12 strokes. This was Tiger's first major out of 15 total, but there still could be more to come. -

This is in the top two most tragic terrorist events in United States history, the other one is Pearl Harbor. Russell Wilson threw the ball that was intended for Ricardio Lockette which was INTERCEPTED by Malcom Butler.
