American Revolution
The American revolution took place from 1765 to 1783, in the thirteen colonies. Colonies made a alliance and fought for independence that formed The United States of America. There was tension between colonies and the British authorities and later on caused the colonies to gain Independence from them. They recruited a group of people to fight for their liberty and on 1783 everything was over us won their liberty. -
Industrial Revolution
The first industrial revolution Mill was opened in America. This technology took cotton thread and made it into yarn. This however was borrowed from Britain. Iron was discovered and new materials came to play in factories and created products America found use of. -
Civil War
It was fought in the United States between the North and the South. The major cause of this civil war was slavery. It is one of the most bloodiest wars ever fought in the US. After this civil war black people had more freedoms but they still had to fought a lot to achieve more. -
The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
The president that wanted to take the US to peace was killed. Lincoln led America though Civil War. Lincoln was concerned with the problems of black people. Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862. He was killed 5 days after the end of Civil War. -
Second industrial revolution
The industrial Revolution was about material expansions of electricity , steel, petroleum. Replacement in current materials included steel replacing iron. Edison invented a safe, at home light bulb. Electricity was used for transportation and communication . America was catching up on advanced products and modern technology. -
World War 1
The assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand was one of the main causes of WWI. After this Austria- Hungary with the help of Germany started a preventive war against Serbia. They gave Serbia an ultimatum which Serbia accepted except for two of its demands. It lead to the declaration of war against Serbia on July 28th. -
Germany Invades Belgium
Germany had originally declared war with France. In order to get to France, Germany had to cross and conquer Belgium to get to France. When Belgium refused to let them through, Germany ended up invading Belgium by force. -
Lusitania
The Lusitania ship was a passenger ship that carried passengers across the Liverpool- New York Route. On May 7, a German U-boat sank the Lusitania. The ship carried 1,198 passengers, 128 who were American. The America then started to get in a conflict with Germany. -
Zimmerman Note
When Germany and the U.S were having conflicts over previous incidents, Germany used a telegram to send a message to Mexico. In the letter it proposed an alliance, Mexico and Germany. In return Germany promised Mexico that they could recover Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. This letter was intersected by the U.S before it reached Mexico. -

Nineteenth Amendment
The Nineteenth Amendment gave women the right to vote in America. This was extremely significant and was an accomplishment for gender equality. Women worked in factories providing for the soldiers at war and showed their hardworking ability to fulfill tasks just as men could. -
The Great Depression
During the Great Depression, there was an extreme case of the unemployment rate ( up to 23% ). This meant that up to 13 million people were in need of jobs. Poverty was common during this time and it was very hard to afford assessible things such as food. Many families starved because of insufficient money for food. -
World War 2
World War 2 happen on September 1939. This event took place in almost all the countries. There was two main alliances created from this this event called the Allies and the Axis.

Cold War
The Cold War took place from 1947 to 1991. This was caused because of tension between the Soviet Union and the U.S after WW2. The U.S wanted to stop communism from spreading to other parts of the world. The Cold War ended with the collapse of the communism in the USSR. -
Hiroshima Bomb
The United Sates got involved into World War 2 after the Pearl Harbor attack from Japan. In order to end the war, the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima killing 90,000 people and leaving long terms health issues to the survived. -

The US decides to enter the war after Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. US forces were advancing in Japan. US president at the time Harry S. Truman decided to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They hope that Japan would stop with the terrible destruction. -

NATO became established between 29 North American countries and European Countries for a Military alliance. NATO came into affect after the 9/11 attack on the twin towers. -
Korean War
The war began when North Korea invaded South Korean. After Korea had been split into two states in 1948 with the border set in the 38th parallel. A communist state was established in the North and a capitalist state was established in the South. The war increased when the North decided to invade the South. The war ended on July 27, 1953 when the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed which allowed North and South Korea to be separated. -
Vietnam War
Vietnam war started on November 1 1995 to April 30 1975. The war had more than 58 thousand american soldiers killed on the war, it took place on the south Vietnam and the north Vietnam. The Vietnam war was part of the cold war, since the north that was communist fought to take away the non communist on the south. Vietnam didn't have enough resources to win the war against the US, which caused the US to win the war -
9/11
On 9/11 was they day japan attacked the United States. That even took place on September 11 2001, and 2996 people were killed because of the attack. It became a day we have to remember everyday because we cant forget the people who died in the disaster. it was a terrorist attack and after that US fired bombs to japan exactly to Hiroshima and Nagasaki
