De Lome Letter
the New York Journal published a letter written by Enrique Dupuy de Lome, who was the spanish minister for the United States. The letter ctitized the president, this outraged the American people. -
U.S.S Maine
Part of the Two Ocean fleet the U.S.S Maine was stationed at the Harbor of Havana. The U.S.S Maine suddenly blew up, for reasons still unknown. The Yellow Journalist were quick to accuse the Spanish for the incident. This was the last straw for America. -
