    This act was passed because this act were orders that authorized customs officers to conduct general (non-specific) searches of premises for contraband. The exact nature of the materials being sought did not have to be detailed, nor did their locations.The writs were first introduced in Massachusetts in 1751 to strictly enforce the Act Of Trade the governing rules for commerce in the British Empire. Merchants in much of New England were skillful at evading the system and many had become masters

    French & Indian War

    This war happened because the English and french wanted to conquer the new world. The French were in Canada, so the British fought for it. The British ended up winning, but caused serious debt.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    after the British beat the French and the Indians, the Treaty of Paris was signed on February 10, 1763. It stated that the French and Indian War was over. But the settlement growth didn't stop, and the indians got mad again. To stop settlement, the Royal Proclamation of 1763 was written. It said that no settlement was to reach past the Appalachian Mountains.

    This act was passed on the day of April 5, 1764. This act forced colonists to pay made the colonist’s to pay taxes on sugar and molasses. It made them pay 6 pence per gallon on the importation of foreign molasses. This act made the colonists very unhappy with England. They started to boycott, quite buying those things.

    This act was passed on the day of March 22, 1765. This act was forced upon the american colonists and this act made the colonist pay taxes on every piece of printed paper they used. The money that was made from this act was used to defend and protect the american frontier near the appalachian mountains. The colonists started debates and mob/crowds.

    This act was passed to collect revenue from the colonists by putting custom duties on imported glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. The colonist, Samuel Adams protested against this act. The colonists also boycotted english goods
  • Boston Massacre

    The day this event happened was on a Monday night of March 12, 1770. Massachusetts Bay Colony were there to stop demonstrations against the Townshend Acts and keep order, but instead they provoked outrage. They way this didn't help the colonists is because there were 10 colonists killed and it was believed that this is what started the revolutionary war. The actions of the colonists made the King mad so he sent more troops and they revolutionary war started.

    The day the tea act started was May 10, 1773. This act was an act that was to allow a drawback of the duties of customs on the exportation of tea to any of his Majesty's colonies or plantations in America; to increase the deposit on bohea tea to be sold at the India Company's sales; and to empower the commissioners of the treasury to grant licences to the East India Company to export tea duty-free. The way this act hurt the colonists is that the British parliament made the americans pay taxes.

    The reason was to make a provision to the government of Quebec Province. Parliament made a revision to the Quebec boundaries. The colonists were affected because the boundaries forced them to move inwards from the St. Lawrence River. The colonists reacted by starting the battle of Quebec.
