The Roosevelt Corollary denied European countries from using force to collect debt. This made the U.S. an "international police power". -

This meant that if a country couldn't repay loans, the U.S. could and would send in troops. This encouraged investing in Caribbean countries and made America the middle man. -

Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated by Gavriolo Princip of Serbia. This began the war due to European Alliances. -

The 'Allies' were France, Britain, Russia and Italy. The Central Powers were Germany, Bulgaria, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire This is largely due to the Zimmerman Telegram. -
Panama Canal
The Panama Canal was built from 1903-1914. The canal was built to fasten transportation time. America bought land and stood in the way of a revolution to get the 10mile strip of land. The canal is still used today and transportation time is faster. -

Unrestricted Submarine Warfare, Germany considered waters around British Isles as a warzone. Any ship that entered the zone would be sunk. This lead to the sinking of the Lusitania, America begins to question their position in the war. -

A British passanger ship was torpedoed and sunk. Many Americans died and the U.S. considered entering the war. Germany however, didn't want this and created a pledge. -

Wilson wanted peace and equality. The large part of the fourteen points was talk of the formation of the League of Nations. Most howver, did not agree. -
End of World War I
There was agreement on ending war on the entire Western Front. This was due to talks of peace among Germany and the Allies. -
Signing of The Treaty of Versailles
Treaty to end World War I. It ended the war between Germany and the Allied Powers. They agreed on points and for the most part the European powers wanted Germany to take blame for war.
