Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea party took place in 1773 when the colonists put tea in Boston Harbor because they were mad at the tax on tea by the British. It was Samuel Adam's idea and after this the British people made the Intolerable act as a punishment for this act. -

It was held because the colonists were very upset about the Intolerable Acts and the taxes. The Congress met in secret because they didn't want the British to know they were meeting. The main purpose of this meeting was to limit the British colonists right and for the fair treatment. -
