    In the year 1803 President Thomas Jefferson sent 2 explorers by the names Meriweather Lewis and William Clark to explore the West and find a water route. They were to also record anything uncharted or unknown. They found along their journey were some 300 species unknown to science, nearly 50 Indian tribes, and the Rockies!!
  • The Louisiana Purchase

    1803 President Thomas Jefferson purchased approximately 828,000,000 square miles of territory from France! The Lousiana Territory was known to stretch from the Mississippi River in the east to the Rocky Mountains in the west and from the Gulf of Mexico in the south to the Canadian border in the north. He bought this territory for about $15 million dollars, thats approximately 3 cents for acre!

    In the years a838 and/ or 1839 as taking part of Andrew Jakcson's removal policy. They were forced to travel many miles to move West. Since the Cherokee had to walk West many died due to all the walking. This is wear this event gets its "The Trail of Tears".

    The Donner Party was about a group of American pioneers who set out for California. Alone the way this journey took about aroudn 4-6 months! But unforunatly they had gotten delayed by some mishaps along the way so that winter thwy were stranded in Sierra, Navada. Since they were stranded for so long their food sources ran extremely low which lead some migrants to cannibalism.

    In 1894 Milton Hershey decided to produce milk chocolate bars, wafers, etc. thorughout 2 decades more porducts were added like Hersheys's syrup, Chocolate chips, and Mr. Goodbars, today the Hershey company is the leading manufactor of chocolate/ non-chocolate in North America.

    5 schools got together to allow black children and white children to go to school together. They won in a unanimous court ruling, allowing black people and white people to go to school together,

    March 30th, 1971, the first Starbucks store opened in Seattle, Washington. From 1987-2007 Starbucks opened 2 stores per day. Thier best sold drink is White chocolate peppermint mocha.
  • The death of Elvis

    Some People believe Elvis killed himself but others believe he died from a heart attack do to his poor and unhealthy eating. Elvis Presley was the king of Rock 'n' Roll which is why to this day his death is still shocking to some. The coroner recorded the cause of death as cardiac arrhythmia, a condition that can be determined only in someone who is still alive.

    The morning of September 11, 2001 4 planes were instructed by Osama Bin Laden to crash into three different major land marks. Killing 3,000 Americans. 4 terrorists hijacked 4 planes. 2 of which hit both world trade center buildings also known as the twin towers, another struck the pentagon, and the other was supposed to hit the white house but crashed before it got there.
