And polk created the slogan to call for the expansion of Texas, California and Oregon territory. and the northern boundary of Oregon was 54 degrees and 40 minutes which is how the slogan was created. -

The Free-Soil Party was a political party created in the United States which favored the freedom of slaves rather than enslavement with the South favored. The party wanted to expand as a free territory State rather than slave territory. -

This party had a goal to resolve the slavery problem by speaking on the issue rather than ignoring it for years. This political party wanted change amongst territory believe slavery was cruel and should be abolished with in many communities. This law force people to assist in capturing runaway slaves, and people who decided to help had slaves could be punished if someone were to tell on them. Also this law had basically allowed slavery to continue because slaves had to be returned. And in fact this law made it impossible for slaves to escape. And the creation of this law shows how far Southerners Senate want to achieve their slave territory goal. -

this was an Act passed by the United States Congress which a lot of people in the territory within Nebraska and Kansas to determine whether slavery should or should not be allowed in the borders. -

This act was able to amend a popular severity which allowed settlers in a territory to determine if slavery should or should not exist which is a huge impact to the community. And this act even led to many violent confrontations were many people are killed each other over opposing views which was later called "Bleeding Kansas".
