Cause- The Songhai Empire was created when Mali conquered Gao and the new capital was moved there.
Effect- Songhai conquered most of the weak part of the the Mali Empire. -

Cause- He wanted to find new trade routes, gain more wealth, and convert people to catholism.

Cause- Sin murad II died and the ottomans needed a new sultan.

Cause- The African king ran out of gold.

Cause- He brought a plethora of wealth to the Songhai Empire.
Effect- He made a well organized army. -

Martin Luther
Cause- A German monk who moved with a group called lutherans. He nailed a list of 95 thesis on the church door stating the church corruption in anger.
Effect- The lutherans seperated themselves from the catholic church. He made a new theology and their own interpretations of the bible. -

Dias' voyage into Indian Ocean
Cause- He wanted to joing Diogo de Azambuja to the Gold coast.
Effect- He helped find the southeastern water route between western Europe and Asia. Also he discoverd the cape of good hope and opened the sea route to the Indian ocean. -

Columbus' Fist Voyage
Cause- To find a new faster trade route to Asia from Europe
Effect- He found the Americans and a plethora of new foods, animals (like the turkey) corn and potatoes. -

Cause- Christopher Columbus had discovered the new world and other Europeans had followed his path
Effect- New crops, livestock, ideas, religions, and diseases. -

Cause- The Islamic empire empire challenged the Ottomans and Mughals since they were strong enough. Thus the Safavid Empire.
Effect- The Safavid Empire promoted trade, which had an effect on gun powder empires. -

Cause- A minister in France while the protestant reformation happened.
Effect- Formed calvinism the Christian theory during the 1500's -

Cause- The Spanish wanted gold. They conquered Mexico to ger rich.
Effect- Christianity explanded. The Compass was invented. Land was available for expansion. New agricultural foods were introduced like bananas and coffee. -

Reign of Suleiman the Magnificent
Cause- He governed certain cities in the Ottoman Empire became the next sultan at age 25 after the death of Selim.
Effect- Freed hundreds of slaves, gave his officers gifts, abd nade a school for slaves. In return he wanted complete loyalty from everyone. -

Cause- A series of three meeting to set standars for the catholic church.
Effect- The establishment of the seminary system, and the impovement of education of the priests. -

Effect- He eliminated the Pashtuns military threats. He was a Mughl emperor. He used Arabian horses in his military system. -
