Students will learn about "wisdom," "oracles," and their function in Greek society. They will then learn their respective signficance in the "Apology," as they dissect paragraphs 3-6. -

Lesson 5 - EBC + "Apology" paragraphs 1-6
Students will practice making evidence-based claims using paragraphs 1-6 of "Apology". -
Lesson 6 - Socratic Circle
Students will engage in a Socratic circle in order to better demonstrate the Socratic method that ultimately condemned Socrates to death. It is still practiced today. This will help students to understand what practices he encouraged and question whether this method is actually something that is wrong. -
