Galileo Galilei supports the heliocentric theory
Galilei going against what the Church said was huge as it showed that not everything the Church said was correct, or accurate. This led to people beginning to question the church, leading to the Scientific Revolution. -

The war had ended the notion of the divine right of kings and laid the groundwork for the modern UK parliament and monarchy. -
Hobbes’s Leviathan is published
This book was a way to make leaders have less power. It talks about a social contract being developed and allowing monarchs to have less power. Books like these would lead to the French Revolution, and for the third estate to fight for more equal rights. -
Glorious Revolution
It led to the monarch having less power. It was a constitution made in England to make the monarch into a constitutional monarch. This would inspire other countries to aim for the same type of system. -
Locke’s Two Treatises on Government is published
This document was to protect everyone's natural rights. John Locke made this hoping everyone could be given equal and fair opportunities. This would also lead to the French Revolution as the 3E would want to be given these natural rights, also weakening the monarch a little. -

Louis XVI’s reign
Louis was often known as a very bad leader because of his unthoughtful ness to the rest of France. He had put them in major droughts of water and bread. he was clearly a bad leader in which France would end up killing him after he tried escaping. -
Diderot Publishes First Volumes of Encyclopedia
This encyclopedia had about 25 volumes. They were written by very well educated men speaking about Enlightenment ideals. This would inspire the third estate to challenge the 1st, and 2nd estate leading to the French Revolution. -
Lexington and Concord
France helped the US win the fight. This would lead to things like the declaration of independence in which it would inspire the French to follow after the independence. -

The American Revolution—also called the U.S. War of Independence—was the insurrection fought between 1775 and 1783 through which 13 of Great Britain's North American colonies threw off British rule to establish the sovereign United States of America, founded with the Declaration of Independence in 1776. -
Declaration of Independence
The declaration of independence led to inspiring the French to make their constitution of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen. -
Bill of Rights signed
The bill of rights was the first 10 amendments in the constitution. This would inspire other countries such as the French, to make their constitution fairer. -
National Assembly is formed in France
The national assembly led to the third estate only becoming more upset. It showed that the king had not cared about the droughts they were in and upset the third estate to the point where they would later revolt back in the French Revolution. -
Declaration of Rights of Man
Inspired by the declaration of independence, this was written by the third estate and it had consisted of mainly the enlightenment ideals. Everyone was to follow these rules and it created a fair and equal society where everyone had equal amounts of work. -
Tennis Court Oath
After the estates were having one of their regular meetings, the third estate was locked out of the meeting after complaining and fighting for equal work. After being locked out of the meeting the third estate broke the doors down in a tennis court, showing the other estates that there needs to be an equal representation and showing they weren't going to back down until it was more equal. This would soon after also lead to the Storming of Bastille. -
Legislative Assembly is formed in France
The legislative assembly ended up being a failure as they had to attempt to make equal taxes, and equal taxes for all. . It upset a lot of people considering that also allowed the monarch to be head of state. -
Wollstonecraft’s A Vindication of the Rights of Women is published
This was a major step in society. After men had been given a constitution as well as all the rights, women were finally given a chance to be looked at after this document. It allowed for more equality and more rights leading to a positive result after the French Revolution. -
Execution of Louis XVI
After he had attempted to run away from France to Australia with his family, he had been found just at the border of France. This had shown his weakness and the people of France decided to kill him in a guillotine. -

This was the first form of government after King Louis XVI. It showed that France did not need a radical leader. This caused France to create a new government(DOROMAC). -
Execution of Marrie Antoinette
After everyone had already majorly disliked her for her actions and spoiledness, after killing her husband/king, they decided to put her in a guillotine as well. She had died during the Reign of Terror. -
Napoleon’s coup
This event led to the end of the French Revolution because it overthrew the directory out of the government of France.
