Louis the XVI called an Estates-General to help keep France from bankruptcy. Also to the Estates General was called to help keep the three estates in check. The first Estates-General was to be Robert Turgot, his meet did not go so well, he was fired afterwards. Then they continued to text but was only taxing the Third Estate, the commoners. -

The National Assembly created the Constitution during the French Revolution. Sovereignty had a big part in passing the new Constitution. It was created because the National Assembly (the third estate) wanted to be treated equal and better than they were being treated. -

The Girondins and the Jacobins under Robespierre's control. They were in constant battle with each other and other people. Robespierre would guillotine any opponent. The King and Queen were also guillotined because they were being convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers. -

Napoleon overthrew the Directory and replaced it with the French Consulate. Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military leader and emperor that had taken control of some parts of Europe. He overthrew the Directory during the Napoleonic era with his coup d'etat. -

The Congress of Vienna was called to create a balance between powers. Preventing future war and conflict between other countries. -
Napoleon Defeated at Waterloo
Napoleon was defeated by the British and Prussian army at Waterloo. He went to war with them so he could conquer their land, his goal was to conquer all of Europe and make it better by making the countries a democracy.
