The Bill of rights is 10 amendments that protect our individual freedoms and liberties.
This makes everyone equal and doesn’t allow authority to abuse their power. -
First amendment
It’s protection from individual freedoms. -
Civil war
The southern states wanted to say no to tariffs and other laws they disliked. This war led Abraham Lincoln to free slaves. -
13 amendment
This amendment with the help of Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery. Many southerners were mad about this rule. -
14 amendment
Gave citizens equal rights because the southerners tried to get the slaves this gave them protection -
15 amendment
Let African Americans and all races be allowed to vote
