• Navigation Act

    The act restricted the ships that trade with each other in open waters. The colonists did not like the fact that they were not able to openly trade. The British liked it, because it gave them more power and control over the people.
  • Sugar Act

    It put taxes on sugar, and sugar related products. The people thought that it was way to outragously expensive. The government loved the idea of more taxes.
  • Stamp Act

    This act taxed all of the paper goods that were sold. The colonists were extremely upset, so they stopped buying paper, and they burned the paper that they had. The government eventually got rid of the taxes on paper goods.
  • Declaratory Act

    It stated what authority the British government had over the people. The colonists didn't like it. The government loved it, because it gave them more power.
  • Revenue Act

    This act put taxes on good such as glass, led, tea, and silk. The colonists boycotted and threw the Boston Tea Party. The British liked the idea of raising 40,000 Pounds(British Currency).
