The Cuban Missile Crisis was the time in our history that we came closest to having nuclear war with Russia. It was a direct confrontation between the U.S and Russia where Russia put missiles close to the U.S in Cuba. It was resolved by a treaty where the U.S promised to never attack Cuba and took away missiles close to Russia and Russia rooked the missiles off Cuba. -

Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated when he was on a balcony at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The killer, named James Earl Ray, was caught and sentenced to life in prison. -
