On September 12th, 2001, following the infamous 9/11 terrorist attacks, the U.S. officially declared war on Al-Qaeda. Troops were sent into Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and various other middle-eastern countries. -

I walked down the trail in my forested backyard. I heard something rustling behind a bush, so I threw a rock back there. A massive buck popped up and charged straight at me. I ran as fast as my 8 year old legs could carry me, and escaped. -
Moved from Pleasant Grove to Spanish Fork
I did not want to leave my friends, but we had to leave our old, spider-infested house behind us. We drove 20 minutes to Spanish Fork, where there was not as much forest as I hoped, but I met people who I would never forget. -

The Spanish Fork fire was a combination of the Pole Creek and Bald Mountain fires. The Pole Creek Fire started on September 6th, 2018. The Bald Mountain Fire started on August 24th, 2018. They combined on September 17th, 2018. It caused mandatory evacuations of more than 2,000 homes and 6,000 people. -
First Day of 8th Grade
8th grade is the most important year in my life thus far for a few reasons. One is that I need to prove my self in football. Last year I played on the line, where all the low-skilled players go to get minutes. This year, my coach has me in wide receiver and outside linebacker. Another reason is I have to prove I can get straight As for another consecutive year. Last year was the first time I've ever had straight As.
