I found it intereresting that Congress expanded Women's History Weel to a month during the year I was born. I have always felt very strongly about women's rights and pursued a concentration in women's studies during my undergraduate studies. -

This was one of those events where I remembered exactly where I was and what I was doing. I was walking up the stairs to my second period class when I saw the events taking place on TV. At first, I did not understand what was happening. I went to my next class and heard several names being called on the speaker. My Religion teacher explained to us what had happened and informed us that the names of the students called where those who had parents who worked in the World Trade Center. -

Michelle's Grandfather Passes Away
This was an important event in my life. He was the first person I have ever lost. It was also very difficult for me because he lived in Canada, so I was unable to see him often. He was an excellent story teller and would spend hours telling me about the Great Depression and his life back in Italy. His stories transformed me. He is a major reason why I love and pursued the stufy of history. -
