  • The First Barbary War

    Ended june 10th 1805. Pirates from the barbary states (north african muslim states) were taking our merchant ships

  • Tecumseh War

    Ended sometime in 1813. It was a fight for control of the great lakes

  • The War of 1812

    A brief war lasting 2 and a half years and it started over a lot of reasons like trade restrictions and it ended on February 18 of 1815

  • The Creek War

    ended in august 1814. Fought over land, about 21 million acres. Mexico, and britain vs. US and a few allied indian tribes

  • Second Barbary War

    Ended 2 days later on the 19th. Pirates continued to attack our merchant ships.

  • First seminole war

    1. Indians didn't like being kicked out of their homes, so they fought about it.

  • The Texas indian war(s)

    1. A territory dispute between European settlers and the Republic of Texas. There were settlers and indians taking over the land

  • Arikara war

    Indians had no problems with whites until an indian died on a trip to the white house, so they started attacking.

  • Winnebago War

    Indians were attacting waves of miners that they thought were sent to attack them

  • Black hawk war

    Ended in August of the same year. Indians were trying to resettles on their old land that was taken and the US attacked.

  • Second Seminole war

    Ended on August 14 1842. The Seminole were indians that moved into unoccupied land and started a war between us and them, it is one of the most costly indian wars in history

  • Mexican-American War

    Ended on February 1848. The U.S. initiated the war because they wanted land

  • Cayuse war

    1. American settlers farmed the land and the indians were disgraced so we fought about it.

  • The Third Seminole War

    1. It started because the indians were reacting to settlers moving onto their land

  • Rouge rivers wars

    1. It started over some indians moving out of the cold and getting attacked by a militia.

  • Puget Sound War

    1. It started over land rights and ownership and escalated to a war.

  • Yamika war

    1. It was a huge land dispute

  • The Filibuster war

    1. A war over the political parties.

  • The Second Opium War

    1. It was a dispute over hong kong between britain and china

  • Utah War

    Ended in July of 1858. A land dispute between mormons and the U.S.
