    The 14th was passed, meaning citizenship was granted to anybody who was born in the U.S. That mean't former slaves were able to become U.S. citezens.

    The date when the U.S. acquired Hawaii by an act of Congress. Hawaii officially became a state on this date.
  • Imperialism- Spanish-American War

    Imperialism- Spanish-American War
    Spain and the U.S. get in a war over because of the U.S. intervention in The Cuban War for Independence. This caused Spain to attack and cause the war.
  • The Industrial Revolution- Wright Brothers

    The Industrial Revolution- Wright Brothers
    The Wright Brothers got their first airplane flight, when it flew 120 feet for 12 seconds. This was huge at the time, for it was the first plane that was ever able to fly.
  • Imperialism- Panama Canal

    Imperialism- Panama Canal
    The French project that mad so ships who were traveling around the world didn't have to go under South America, but to cross through the middle, which was taken over by the U.S. who finished it. This is now very widley known and used for trading and even regular ship travel.

    A war which very likely was started by the assasination of "Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria." This sent Austia-Hungry in to rage, starting a war against all of the Allies, and was with the Centrals, which was Germany, The Ottomans, and Austria-Hungry.

    Prohibation/The Roaring 20's
    The roaring 20's is when girls who were supposed two be wearing clothes that consealed most of their bodies started to dress down, and when the goverment baned alcohol and moonshiners started illegally making beer, rum, etc. Theses were both ways to protest against the laws or something that is considered politicly correct.

    This started with people trying to make money of the stock market by investing in it, which led to the stock market crash of 1929, which left many people unemployed, homeless, and even dead. This effected all of the U.S. and ruined hundreds and even thousands of lives.

    Started with the invasion of Poland on this exact date. he war was started by Adolf Hitler, who was,
    -A White Supremacist
    -Very hateful toward Jews, and thought they needed to die
    -Thought the world needed to be filled with blonde hair and blue eyes.
    -Thought his ideas were great and also thought he was a great leader, but to most it was the exact opposite.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    The invasion by the Axis Japanesse Army which sunk many ships and killed thousand of men. This led to the end of World War II when the U.S. Dropped Little Boy on Hiroshima and Fat Man on Nagasaki.
  • Cold War

    The War between Russia And the U.S. was a war over nuclear weapons and who had the better ones, which made the USSR mad, and we went in to war. The U.S. ended up defeating the USSR and ridding Russia of the USSR goverment.
  • The Korean War

    The Korean War
    War between South Korea who was supported by the UN, and North Korea who was supported by China, and the UN tried to stop South Korea from becoming communist, an the war is still going on today, but with a sease fire. We still have a large problem with the North Korean goverment because they threaten us with Nuclear weapons and that they will attack us, even though they realize that we have the storngest army on earth and would defeat them in a war.

    The war between South and North Vietnam, And Communist North Vietnam was trying to take control of South Vietnam, and sucseeded after a while. This is the only war in U.S. history that we have lost. North Vietnam and South Vietnam now is just Vietnam and it is one big communist goverment.
  • The Gulf War

    A war that started when an army of men lit oil wells on fire and wasted alomst 60 billion dollars worth of oil (The war is codenamed Operation Desert Storm.) THe U.S. went in to stop the army and to stop the burning of Oil, which they couldn't, but did stop the lighting of more wells.
  • 9/11

    9/11
    The terrorist attacks againt the New York City World Trade Center, an attack by airplanes which crashed into the North and South towers. Other planes did not hit their targets. 2996 people died by the attacks that day.
  • Operation Eduring Freedom

    Operation Eduring Freedom
    In response to 9/11, we send troops out to Afghanistan to retaliate against the Al Qaeda terrorists, and the war is still ongoing. There has been many casualties by terrorist hands since that year.
  • Operation Iraqi Freedom

    Operation Iraqi Freedom
    The Iraqi war, Codnamed Operation Iraqi Freedom, is also a retaliation againt 9/11 and other terrorist attacks, because Al Qaeda was also Headquartered there. We have somewhat stopped terrorism, but it is still there.
