  • Selective Service Act Passed

    All men between the ages 21 and 33 had to register to be drafted in the army. If they didnt register they could be arrsted for not following the laws. Later in the year the law changed that men between the ages of 18 to 45 could register, Now if there is only one boy in the house he cant be drafted,
  • Espionage Act

    Federal law passed shortly after entrance into WWI, made it a crime for a person to mail or print information that inspired dissent against the American war effort or promoted its enemies.
  • Wilson's 14 Points

    They were listed in a speech delivered by President Woodrow Wilson on January 8th 1918, explaining to Congress and the nation that WWI as being fought for a just cause. It also set the foundations for peace plans and was the basis for the German armistice
  • Battle of Argonne

    On September 26, 1918, more than one million American soldiers pushed into the forest, making it the final Allied offensive. At first, the Americans advanced despite heavy German fire, and after 47 days, they broke through the German offensive and won the battle. It ended on November 11,1918.
