Day One
Day- Samuel breaks a plate, lilly takes away his food and master hackler takes away his blankets. Samuel feeds the pigs and sees harrison and harrison gives him a "hard times" speech.
Night- Samuel wakes up to harrison holding a bundle of stuff and he has to get the skillet and knife from the wall. Samuel runs with harrison to the forest where they spend the rest of the night in a tree. -

The Journey/The Future

Day 2
Day- Samuel and Harrison spend the day in the trees but they hear the hacklers and Lilly shouting and looking for them.
Night- It rains and Samuel and Harrison are saved so they run and Samuel thinks he sees something so he runs and gets them lost. Harrison freaks out and starts talking about when he ran away a while back. -
Day 3
Day- Samuel and Harrison continue on and they think they hear someone coming so they dive into bushes filled with spiders.
Night- Samuel and Harrison trek on and come to “The River of Death” and they go across it. Then they come to the low cornfields of The River Jordan (or the Ohio River). There they meet the River Man who takes them and a woman named Hetty Scott across the river but Hetty is too caught up with her “pretty things” to get out of the boat so she floats away downstream. -
Day 4 and 5
Day4-They spend all night in the cellar of a peculiar widow tailor who claims to see the ghost of her deceased husband John. During the day they are trekking to the house when the River Man teaches Samuel how to walk like a free man.
Day5-During the day they are in the cellar until the tailor takes them to a church- home to Reverend Pry and Mr. Keepheart. Pry writes about them then leaves. Mr. Keepheart gives them blankets and a few candies. Samuel dreams of Harrison being buried under the floor -
Day 6
Day-Samuel and Harrison wake up to a woman named Miz Kettle who gives them disguises and directions to her husband Ham and her dog Eggs. Ham gives them fish which are stolen on the way to Green Murdock. When they get there Green Murdock is not home, so they wait in his shed till he gets there.
Night- Green Murdock gives Samuel some new clothes and both him and Harrison some food. He then gives them a fire and some blankets. Then he reads their future in the cards and the Ace of Spades is shown. -
Day 7
Day- Fever Strikes
Night- Wagon- Negro Hollow Belle & August -
Days 8-12
Harrison Falls Sick in the morning so he and Samuel run to Negro Hollow and meet Belle and August. They stay there for almost a week. -
Day 13
Day- Harrison is better and Samuel asks him about what happened the night before when he started ranting about the last time he ran away.
Night- Samuel and Harrison get worried when August says something about the Snow coming to check for free papers. August puts them on a train to the Great Lakes so they can escape to freedom. While on the train they meet Ordee Lee who is a curious fellow. -
Day 14 and the next morning.
Day- They are on the train all day.
Night- They get off the train to meet a man named Ol’ Bowlegs who hides them in a cellar until the docks get up and running.
Morning- He has Samuel, Harrison, and Ordee Lee roll barrels to the boat. They are stopped when Samuel pulls a stunt with their “free papers” which sets them free onto the boat to go to Canada. Harrison turns out to be Samuel's Grandfather. -
Future
In the future Ordee Lee turns into a blacksmith and Harrison get his pond and Samuel finds his mom and Lilly sends samuel christmas dollars every year and she get s burried in the black burrial ground and Samuel lives with his mother. Harrison passes away, and Ordee Lee is forever a freind of Samuel.
