Paris chooses Aphrodite
The evil goddess Eris was looking for trouble and threw a golden apple for the fairest women into Olympus. Zeus took the apple and didn't want to be the one to make the choice so he gave the golden apple to the young prince Paris. Paris has the choice to pick either Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena. Paris chose Aphrodite, which was the main cause of the Trojan War. -

Helen gets taken by Paris
Aprodite takes Paris to Sparta, the place with the fairest women on Earth. Paris stayed with Helen and Menelous. Helen was one of the most fair women in the world and Paris decided to take her to Troy. -

Menelous calls out to Greek for help
Menelous came home to find Paris and Helen gone. He knows Helen was taken to Troy and he calls out to all of Greece for help. Greece wanted to burn Troy to the ground. -

Two first rank Greeks were missing when they went to sail to Troy.
Odysseus and Achilles didn't want to go to war over just one woman. Odysseus pretended to go mad but the gods were able to test him to see if he was really mad. They were able to prove him to be sane. Achilles ' mother didn't want to let him go because she knew he would die. -

Artemis was angry
Artemis was angry because the Greeks slain a hare, one of her beloved creatures. Because of this she made the winds over the sea very strong and not suitable for sailing. The Greeks sacrificed a royal maiden to her. They sacrificed Iphigenia, the Commander in Chiefs eldest daughter. After the sacrifice, the winds calmed. The Greeks sail to Troy. -

The Greeks reach Troy
Protesilaus was the first to jump to the shore. He died because of the Oracle which said that the first to step foot in Troy was the first to die. The Greek army had thousands of ships and a very strong army, but Troy was strong as well with its walls. Apollo helped the Trojans by shooting arrows down onto the Greek army. -

The war reaches Olympus
The Greeks side had Hera, Athena, Poseidon. Aphrodite, Ares, Artemis, and Apollo sided with the Trojans. Zeus favored the Trojans but didn't want to side against Hera so he stayed neutral. -

Achilles joins the war
Since Achilles wouldn't join the war, his friend Patroclus decided he would take Achilles place and go into the war. Patroclus fought with Hector and was killed. Achilles wanted revenge so he went into the war with armor made by Hephaestus. -

Hector is killed
Achilles and Athena faced Hector who was left to die by Apollo. Hector ran away and Athena transformed herself into Hectore's brother Deiphobus to trick him. Hector thought it was his brother and decided to fight with him against Achilles. Hector turned to his brother for help and "he" wasn't there. Achilles jammed his spear in his throat and killed Hector. Achilles then tied Hector to the back of his chariot and dragged him around Troy. This angered almost all of the gods. -

Achilles is Killed
As his mother said, Achilles must die in this war. Achilles drove the Trojans up to the walls of Troy. There, Paris shot a bow at him and witth the help of Apollo's aim it struck his ankle. When Achilles was little, he was dipped into the River of Styx which made him invincible. The only area of his body that didn't get wet was the area he was held by, his ankles. This was his only weak spot and he got hit there, killing him instantly. -

Ajax Kills Himself
Achilles was burned and his armor was either to be gived to Ajax or Odysseus. Everyone voted and Odysseus won. Ajax was mad and said he was going to kill Agamemnon and Menelaus. As he was going, Athena made him mad. He saw a group of cattle and thought they were part of the army and killed them all. After realizing he killde helpless animals, he killed himself. -

Paris is Killed
The Greeks stole bow and arrows and started shooting into the Trojans. The first to die was Paris. The Greeks took him to the nymph that raised him and he died there. -

The Trojan Horse
The Greeks knew they couldn't win the war if they kept up with the fighting. They put their minds together and came up with a plan. A master in wood work built a giant hollow horse. The Greeks pretended to surrender and hid behind a nearby peninsula. They left Sinon behind to tell the Trojans about the horse. He told them it was an offering for Athena. -

The Fall of Troy
The Trojans pulled the horse into Troy. Inside the horse was a group of Greek soldiers. Once everyone was asleep, the Greeks inside the horse led by Pyrrhus, Achilles son, came out of the horse and opened the doors letting in the rest of the Greek army. The Trojans were taken by suprise and didn't have time to react before the Greeks killed them and burned Troy to the ground. This was the end of the Trojan War
