    Cars:
    Cars started to become very popular in the 1950's. Some popular brands and models were:
    -1950 Buick Roadmaster
    -1950 Pontiac Chieftain
    -1953 Chevrolet Corvette
  • 1960

    Bus:
    In the early 1950's-1960's, African Americans were not allowed to sit in the front of the bus, only due to segregation. All African Americans were forced to sit in the back of the bus.

    Plane:
    In this year, commercial plane service took the nation by storm. This year, the Boeing 747 was introduced, which was one of the largest aircrafts to fly, which is still flying today.

    Interstate rail travel suffered a very severe market decline through the years of 1970-1980, which, as a result, increased cheaper air travel.
