Where it all began
In 1835, Andrew Jackson signed the Indian removal Tribe. He had some people that went there say that they had good stuff there like gold,land,and other resources.In that exact he decided that it was nessacery. -
The sadness has come
Today is was may 1838 and Indians in the Cherokee land are forced to march all the way to the Indian Territory,Andrew Jackson is rounding up all the Indians and is going to take them to the Indian Territory. -
Walking along the way
In 1838,The Cherokee's walked along for a long time and had to walk through snow,land and water.Andrew Jackson has come he is going to take our land.They killed several Indians of my Tribe and plus they were killed through diseases & heat.We have traveled over water,snow,and through normal hills to forest's.After 13,000 Cherokee were placed in concentration camps they faced starvation, cold, and diseases, their property was destroyed and they were sent to Indian Territory. -
The end at last
Today the Cherokee's come upon the Indian Territory and have to stay here. The people are very displeased with this event and called it the trail of tears because it was very sad for them. -
The new life of the Cherokee's
The Cherokee's have build houses,growing crops,and were collecting more resources.They have started all over into a new life.They live in the Indian Territory.
