The Renaissance Begins

The Renaissance allowed for many new schools of thought to be created along with brand new discoveries to be made that would allow for many future events possible such as allowing for Martin Luther to go on and start the Protestant Reformation or for Christopher Columbus to journey across the Atlantic and land in the Caribean.

The Printing Press is Invented

1448

The Printing Press would allow for many things to be able to be written down without the use of scribes rather, allowing many different forms to simply be copied one after another. This discovery would allow for items such as books to be mass-produced and teach the people of the period.

The Turk's Seize Constantinople

1453

When the Turk's seized Constantinople it collapsed the last portions of the Roman Empire and allowed for newer kingdoms and empires to take their place. this would allow for Empires like Venice to rise and help contribute to the trade and discovery of the Renaissance.

Martin Luther is Born

1483

Martin Luther's birth begins him on a journey to lead a reformation of the catholic church but instead starts a whole new division of Christianity.

Christopher Columbus Lands in the Caribbean

1492

The discovery of a whole new continent allowed for new land for European settlers but also allowed for new produce items to be shipped back to Europe. This discovery allowed for many things like sugar to be grown in the new world and be transported back to Europe rather than only certain areas being able to grow it in the old world.

The Great Dying Begins

1492

The great dying killed many of the Indigenous populations of the Americas. Leaving those who survived to serve as slaves for the Europeans at plantations or in mines.

Pope Leo X Issues New Indulgences to Fund St. Peters Basilica

1517

This would begin Martin Luther to question the decisions of the Catholic Church and how the Pope is using his power along with him then wanting to reform the church and beginning the Protestant Reformation.

Luther Posts His 95 Theses

1517

This begins the Protestant Reformation as Luther begins to question the Pope's authority in issuing indulgences to forgive people of sin and allow them to cut time off of purgatory.

Herman Cortes Arrives in Mexico

1519

Herman begins to fight with the Aztec Empire and ultimately assists in its destruction. This allowed for expansion further into the Americas without much resistance from nations that were already in existence in the Americas.

Huguenots and Catholics Begin Fighting

1562

This started actual warring between Protestants and the Catholic church forcing France to make many decisions as to how they go about who to support and what to give people who disagree.
