The American Revolutionary WarThe American Revolution started because Britain was taxing the colonists without representation in parliment. The Colonists were sick of it, and fought back. The war lasted from 1775, and ended on September 3, 1783. -

The Sinking of the Lusitania
The LusiataniaThe Lusitania was a passenger ship that was taking people, and ammunition for the war (seceretly) from New York to Liverpool. When a German U-boat spotted the ship, the commander set off two torpedoes at the ship because it was near the shore. The Ship sank in just 18 minutes, and only 764 people survived the attack. This was one of the main reasons for America entering the war. -

The ArmisticeThe Armistice was the reaty that ended the fighting of World War I. It was signed in a railway carriage in the forest of Compiegne. When people found out about the treaty, there was happiness, sorrow, and lots of other emotions.
