William Lloyd Garrison was an abolitionist journalist for his newspaper The Liberator, who viewed the Contitution as pro-slavery and believed the union should be dissolved and caused many people to choose sides on the subject of slavery, this led to the Civil War. -

After the American Mexican War, Texas joined the union as a slave state and Stephen Douglass entered California as a free state, the south then began to kidnap and capture run away slaves due to the law, this led to the Civil War. -

Harriet Beecher Stowe would show the horror and inhumanity in slavery through her popular book and made people choose to be against slavery through after reading it, this led to the Civil War. -
Presidential Election (Abraham Lincoln)
Even thoough Abraham Lincoln promised to protect the souths rights, the south feared that he would take away their slaves and thus secededand became the Confederate States of America and fought against the North for their stand on slavery, this led to the Civil War.
