Black Death (Bubonic Plague)

Mar 9, 1347

The Black Death was a horrible disease that struck Asia, Africa and Europe. If we never had this black death the population would probably be higher today.

Columbus Founded America

Oct 12, 1492

On October 12th 1492 Christopher Columbus founded what is now America. If Columbus wouldn't have gathered all of those explorers to discover parts of the America land, It never would have been founded and we wouldn't live here today.

French and Indian War

Mar 7, 1754

This war was fought between Britain and France. If we never had this war we would be ruled by Britain and May not have the freedoms we do today.

Boston Tea Party

Dec 16, 1773

Members of the Sons of Liberty diguised themselves as Mohawks. They Rowed out to the British ships shouting "Boston Harbor a teapot tonight!" The boarded ships, chopped open the chests of tea with axes, and dumped he tea into the harbor. This became

Louisiana Purchase

Mar 8, 1803

First France owned the Louisiana territory then Spain did. Then in 1800 the war in Europe forced Spain to give it back to France. France then offered to sell all the land between the Mississippi and eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains to the United States for only $15 million. That all was the Louisiana Purchase. If we never had France would still own the Rocky Mountains.

The Indian Removal Act

The Indian Removal Act was an act that moved Midwest Territories South to Oaklahoma. If this never happened then the Indians would still have thier land.

Manifest Destiny

Mar 8, 1845

Many Americans had a belief called the manifest destiny. with this they believed that the United States had the right to own all the land from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Without this we probably wouldn't have any of the land between The Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.

Civil War

The Civil War was fought between the Northern states and Confederacy. The War Lasted 4 Years. If we never had this war we probably wouldn't have the cotton-made clothes we have today.

World War 1

Mar 2, 1917

World War 1 was fought by many countries, The allies won over Germany, but the allies had the help witht the power of Great Britian and France. If that never would of happened then we would still be controled by Germany.

Cold War

Without this war we never would of had the Korean or Veitnam war in 1950 (Korean War) and 1955 (Veitnam War)
