    Dred Scott Decision
    Born in 1795 Southampton County, Virginia. He was a slave who's master had died and made him a free man before he died. Dred Scott was still thought of as a slave though and was put back into slavery.He sued the surpreme court and was unsuccessful. The news of his denied freedom went throughout the United States. Soon his older master before the one who died, bought him and finally freed Dred Scott. He died in September 17, 1858 a free man.
