Happened in Los Angeles, California, during the campaign for U.S. Presidential election. After winning the California and South Dakota primary elections, Kennedy was shot as he walked through the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel and died in the Good Samaritan Hospital twenty-six hours later. -

The Watergate break-in's were a direct result of the Watergate Scandal itself. President Nixon had planned to win his re-election in a very unfair way. The break in to the hotel/offices was to retrieve documents from his imposing party and to tap into their conversations. The robbers were caughts and Nixon was exposed. -

When Reagan left an event he spoke at in Washington, D.C., President Reagan and three others were shot and wounded by John Hinckley, Jr. Reagan suffered a punctured lung and heavy internal bleeding, but good medical attention allowed him to heal quickly. This assassination attempt left John Hinckley in a mental facility and not in jail. -
