Bill Gates first introduced Windows on November 10, 1983. The first version, Windows 1, was released in 1985. Before it was announced as Windows, the initial creation dates back to 1981 when Microsoft was working on a program called "Interface Manager" (which is now Windows). -
Brain
Created by Basit and Amjad Farooq Alvi, Brain was the first computer virus and started by infecting floppy disks. They ran a computer store in Pakistan and created Brain because they grew tired of customers copying their software illegally. -
SGI Dogfight
Although unable to be played across the internet (because it was linked to a singular network and could not cross routers), SGI Dogfight was the first game to use internet protocol. It was originally written by Gary Tarolli at Silicon Graphics, the late founder of 3dfx. -

The inventors of WiFi were John O'Sullivan, Terence Percival, Diethelm Ostry, John Deane, and Graham Daniels. WiFi allowed nearby devices to exchange data by radio waves. -

Google became the most used web-based search engine. It was launced by Larry age and Sergey Brin who were students at Stanford University. In 1996, Google was first known as "BackRub". -
Napster
Developed by Sean Parker and Shawn Fanning, Napster gave people access to music files for free. It's peak was about 80 million users. It changed the music industry, aggravated the creators of the music, and gave way to Spotify. -
