    Overhead projectors were introduced into U.S. military training during World War II. After the war they were used at schools like the U.S. Military Academy. As the demand for projectors grew, Buhl Industries was founded in 1953 and overhead projectors began to be widely used in schools and businesses in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

    A whiteboard is any glossy, usually white surface for nonpermanent markings. Early whiteboards needed to be wiped with a damp cloth and markers had a tendency to leave marks behind, even after erasing the board.

    Texas Instruments invented the first hand-held pocket calculator in 1966, and a basic patent for the miniature electronic calculators was issued to them in 1974.
