Germans Invadse Poland
they march into homes of Jews. They scream JEWS OUT JEWS OUT! If you dont get out in five minutes, if theydont get out they drag them out or beat them until they get out. -
Traders
Mrs Gruber, Olga and Harry all become Nazis. They find that there ancestors are german so they turn to the Nazi side so that they dont have to live in the ghetto. If they are Nazis they dont have to go throught all the torcher of being a jew. So now they are torchering the jews. -
Auschwitz
Aushwitz, a concentration camp, opens on june 15th 1940. It is open until january 27th 1945. In 1945 it is liberated by the soviet unioun. -
Jews march
inside the lodz ghetto the germans invade again. They make all of the jews march around the ghetto. they separate the women and children then the men on the right. the men walk foward and the women and children go home the sick go with the germans -
Motele steals wood
Motele steals wood to keep Riva and Laibele warm. Him and a couple other men take down an empty shed to use fro firewood. The police catch him and send him to court but he wont give up the other guys who did it with him. His only penalty was to clean the outside toilets for a week. -
Adopted
Social workers put all the children up for adoption. They feel that they dont have a leagal gaurdian.Riva begs and begs for them not to be adopted. Finally one of the social workers makes Riva sign papers saying that she can now be the legal guardian. -
Shmulek Returns
Shmulek who was sent to the ghetto one year ago. He comes back finding that his family is gone. Riva has a place to live but if he stays people will start gossip about them. She sends him to a good friend who lives next door for Shmulek to live. -
Nazis come in and take away the sick, the children and the old
the nazis march into the camp and scream jews out jews out. They take all the sick, children and old. Momma is taken away because she looks like shes sick because she works so much. -
Pesach
It is spring and it is Pesach. All the children feel very lonely during this time without mother. Laibele who had tuberculosis, has died from the disease. -
The list at work
When Riva walks into work she sees her name on the list. The list is of the people who are being sent to the camps
