In 1773 the British issued the tea act, which taxed the colonists tea, so the colonists dumped thousands of dollars worth of tea in the harbor. -
Fighting at Lexington and Concord
In 1775 the British found out the minutemen were storing guns in Concord, then attacked Lexington and Concord. The battle at Lexington was the first fight in the revolution.
