  • Molasses Act

    The Molasses Act imposed a tax of 6 pence per gallon on imports of molasses.

  • Sugar Act

    This law was enacted to hopefully prevent the smuggling of sugar into the colonies by reducing previous tax rates and enforcing the collection of duties.

  • Stamp Act

    The act brought a tax on the legal recognition of documents.

  • Revenue Act

    This act placed a tax on glass, lead, painters colors, tea and paper.

  • Tea Act

    This act allowed ships to bring tea straight to the colonies instead of stopping first in England.
