Founding of Massachusetts
Puritans and John Winthrop had established the whole Bay Colony in 1630, a little later after the pilgrims arrived. -
Founding of Maryland
Lord Baltimore had founded the colony for Catholics to express their religious freedom. England had put many restrictions on minorities, including Catholics, so this was a great way to get them their freedom. -
Founding of Rhode Island
Because of Roger Williams beliefs about religion, he was kicked out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This led to his founding of Rhode Island because he wanted to be able to continue his ideas there. -
Banishment of Anne Hutchinson
Anne Hutchinson had a lot of ideas to ease strict polices in place for the church. Puritans often never put up with ideas that would cause accusation of their practices, so they weren't very found of what Anne was preaching. They later banished her from the colony because of this. -
Founding of Pennsylvania
Because William Penn was dealt some land form Charles II, he used it to bring freedom to the faith, the Quakers. Quakers got treated very badly back at England, so they were exited to know of the opportunities able for grab at this new colony. -

The Great Awakening
This was when all religion started to kick off in the colonies. Many people from Europe, especially England, wanted to be able to be free to express their religion without hardship and punishment. -

Voter Rights Expanded
This helped a lot more people who wanted to vote, vote. Usually, only men who owned a property could vote, but this allowed women to vote as well. (They still needed to own a property though.) -
The Virginia Bill of Rights
This basically stated that you were now allowed to worship your religion free of judgement or punishment.
