Mayans used paper created from tree barks.

The Fourdrinier Paper-Making Machine

Over the years the Fourdrinier Paper-Making Machine was invented. How did it work? Pulp was fed onto a belt of wire cloth that was continually moving so that the sheet was smoothed on rotating heated cylinders and onto a reel.

We make paper with excellent quality, we also still use groundwood and a more improved version of the Fourdrinier paper making machine to make paper.

I believe in the future they may be producing much paper anymore, I believe in the future that we will all use technology instead of paper because of fonts, easy access and sharing, etc...
If we still paper in the future though, it may be very improved like for example it may be easier to erase something written on a paper or being able to make it thin but strong enough not to rip.
