Reading at the college level was much different! This experiences communicated the importance of learning strategies and skills for successfully navigating through texts.

In becoming an educator, my view on literacy changed. I now see literacy as an ever-changing element to our well-being. Students not only need to be able to function within society by learning to read, write, speak, and listen, but they need to be able to interact with their peers, technological devices, etc to effectively gain and communicate knowledge.
