In 1796 small pox and cowpox was a big thing with many children and somewhat adults. Edward Jenner had used a myth that a milkmaid with cowpox would somehow not get smallpox. So he had injected puss from the cowpox into an 8 year old boy to prevent smallpox. -
Spread of Cholera
a man named John Snow maped a neighborhood on broad way street and marked X's water pumps and dots wiht the deaths from cholera. adn that is how he found the source of the outbreak. -

In 1918 some thought the misconceptions people had about the cause of the flu from a germ from the Germans. they were able to indentify which way from humans or pigs. they werent quite sure what was the cause. -

Salks vaccine was pretty effective except one batch on Arpil one drug company whihc killed 11 people
