    Eastern Orthodox Church Founded

    It was founded by Jesus Christ and was split from the main faction of Christianity in The Great Schism. They split because of the great schism which was caused by differences in religious beliefs.

    Church of England/Anglican

    The Church of England was split from the Roman Church and founded by Thomas Cranmer, Queen Anne's Bounty, Augustine of Canterbury and Ecclesiastical Commissioners in 1534. It was split because the Church Refused to annul Henry the 8th's marriage because she couldn't give him a male heir.

    Lutheran Church

    The first Lutheran Church was founded by Martin Luthor after being split from the Roman Church in an attempt to reform it.
  • Baptist Church

    Baptist churches were formed by the baptists of England who split from the English Church because they believed that Christianity should be voluntary and only believers should be baptised.

    In 1861, Presbyterians in the Southern United States split from the denomination because of disputes over slavery, politics, and theology precipitated by the American Civil War. The church was founded by John Calvin of Switzerland and John Knox of Scotland.

    Methodist Church was formed by John Wesley after splitting From the church of England in order to reform the church.
  • Uniting church

    Frederick Miller founded the Uniting church in 1977 by having many parts of the church form together.
  • Hillsong Church

    The Hillsong Church was founded in 1983 by Brian and Bobbie Houston. they split from the Australian churches to become an autonomous denomination.
