    A time when Aboriginal children were taken away by the British.

  • Aboriginal people are recognised as Australian Citizens.

  • Aboriginal people are given the right to vote

  • Aboriginal people are counted in census.

    UNtil this time, they were considered flora and fauna.

  • The Mabo Decision

    Mabo Vs Queensland. Aboriginal people are now considered the native owners.

  • The Apology

    Kevin Rudd, a now former PM, delivers the 'Sorry Speech', an apology to ATSI people for their hardships.
