Drancy Internment Camp
12,887 Jews of Paris are rounded up and sent to the Drancy Internment Camp located outside the city. About 74,000 Jews, including 11,000 children, will eventually be transported from Drancy to Auschwitz, Majdanek and Sobibor. -
Himmler's visit
Himmler visits Auschwitz-Birkenau for two days, inspecting all the constructions and the expansions, then observes the extermination process from start to finish. The construction includes four large gas chamber/crematories.
