The Woman's march on Versailles
The woman in France were also fed up about how they were being treated. So they marched all the way to Versailles to look for the queen. -

Seeing the Unrest in France the king tries to escape to Austria but is arrested. The king is placed under house arrest accused of not support the revolution. -

The Comity of Public shifty is like today's Department of Defense but for revolutionary France. Unfortunately it was set up by Robespierre and his Jacobites, and did not keep the public safe. -
The Directory takes over France
The Directory, a group of 5 people, rule France for a short time until the Coup d'Etat. This is where Napoleon thinks he can do a better job and he does.
