    The Navigation Acts
    Were a series of laws that had restricted the use of foriegn shipping for trade between England and its colonies. It had reflected the policy of mercantilism, which wanted to keep all the benefits of trade inside, and minimize the loss of gold and silver to foreigners. This act was strictly obeyed,besides the Molasses Act of 1733, which had led to extensive smuggling.

    The Stamp Act was passed by the British parliment on March 22,1965. This stamp act was force on the American Colonist to set a requiremnt on them to pay taxes. They were required to pay taxes on every piece of printed paper they used; this included ship's papers, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, other publications and even playing cards. The money that was collected by the stamp act was used to help pay the cost of protecting and defending the American parliment

    Stamp Act Congress took place on october 7 and 25, 1765 in New York City. This meeting was called to protest against the new British taxation, "The Stamp Act". The Stamp Act Congress consisted of 9 delegates out of the 13 colonies. As a result the bristish parliment canceled the stamp act; however, a new act was passed that allowed the parliment the right to tax.

    An act for the better securing the dependency of the kings(majesty`s) dominions in America upon the crown and parliment of Great Britain. Having the right to have full power and authority to make laws and statutes of suffcient force and validity to bind the colonies as well as the people of America, subjects of the crown of Great Britain.

    Was introduced into the English parliment by Chancellor of the Exchequer Charles Townshed.This act imposed duties on glass,lead,paints,paper, and tea import into the colonies. Whith the hope that it would defray imperial expenses in the colonies. In April 1770 parliment repealed all the Townshed duties except the tax on tea.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    A street fight between a patriot mob and British spoilders. The mob threw snowballs, stones, and sticks or whatever they found. It all began when fifty citizens attacked a British sentinel, due to the fact that British soilders in Boston were very unwelcoming. Soilders then fired gunshots into the mob killing three on the spot and wounding eight others, two of whom died later. Two British soilders were found guilty for manslaughter later on in trial.

    The Tea act that was passed by the parliament on May 10, 1773 triggered the final spark to the revoluntionary movement in Boston. It was not intended to make people pay more taxes, it was used to help east India companies that was struggling financially and had 18 million pounds of unsold tea. The tea act lowered prices on tea so much that the american colonist couldnt by tea from any other merchants. Because of this they refused to unload tea from the ships

    The Boston Tea party happened on December 16,1773. The American Colonists were angry and frustrated with the tea act, which cause them to disguised themselves as Natives Americans and board onto three ships (The Darthmouth, The Elenor, and The Beaver) and they dumped 342 crates of Bristish tea into the British harbor.

In the battle of Lexington, it was a small fight, they weren't even expected to fight but once the shot wasshot the britsh had no choice but to battle. Battle of Concord, the Americans fled to the outskirts of concord. They were able to spot the british an defeat them at north bridge.
