During the annual Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013, two homemade pressure cooker bombs detonated 14 seconds and 210 yards apart at 2:49 p.m., near the finish line of the race, killing 3 people and injuring several hundred others, including 16 who lost limbs. -
The extreme flooding of the Meramec river
At the end of December 2015, a huge storm named “Goliath” dumped 9-10 inches of rain in a belt across the central United States, centered just southwest of St. Louis, most of it in a three-day downpour. The Meramec’s response was dramatic. Gauging stations recorded a pulse of water that grew as it traveled down the main stem of the Meramec River, setting all-time record highs in the lower basin in the Missouri cities of Eureka, Valley Park and Arnold. -

When I went to the beach
After I went to Orlando Studios, I went to the beach. I spent two days there, then, saddly, we had to go back home. -
when I went to Universal Studios
Next, we went to Universal Studios, for two days. On the first day, we visited the Harry Potter world. We got wands and there were sensors all around that we could point our wands at and they would move. There was also many Harry Potter rides that we went on. There was even a Gringotts bank place where there was a dragon at the top where a large puff of fire came out every 10 minutes or so. On the second day, we did all the other stuff that was there outside of the Harry Potter world. -
when I went to Taos part two
The course looked like it had not been paved since it was created. The moguls were made of thick powder, and don't get me wrong, powder is what you want, but you don't want pure thick powder and nothing else. I mean it is better than pure ice, thats how skiing incidents end up fatal, like when you can't stop. But the powder was so thick that when your ski's tried to go over it, it would get caught in it. After about an hour we made it out. My Dad then said "what did we learn today?", and I said -

When I went to Taos part three
"That we shoud try a different one after we ate lunch." Then he said "not another double black". I agreed because we were both very tired from the run. The next day was christmas. We only spent a half day skiing that day. That is because in the morning we did presents. The next day was the last day. Then, we went to great wolf lodge. Since they got our room ready late. They gave us a bunch of free stuff to do and get. The next night was spent at springfield suites. Then we drove home. -
When I went to Taos, New Mexico part one
On December 20th, 2019, my family and I went to Toas, New Mexico on a ski trip. It took three days of driving to get there. The first day we skiied was the day before Christmas eve. When we were there, I learned how to ski jump. On the second day (Christmas eve) we went skiing again, my Dad and I went on what we thought was a black diamond. It turns out that it was a double black diamond. It was forest all around us, we were the only ones there. -

On 3 January 2020, a United States drone strike near the Baghdad International Airport targeted and killed Iranian major general Qasem Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This made the Iranians very angery and nearly started a war.
