    This proclamation stopped people from moving west. Due to this proclamation, the colonists protested by traveling west.
  • Currency Act

    The Currency Act was the act of not allowing the American colonies to print or distribute money. The colonist did not agree with this act so they decided to protest.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act ensured that any items being transported to the colonies that weren't from Great Britain were taxed. Due to this the colonists rebelled and brought in sugar illegally and protested that their rights were violated.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act allowed British troops to stay and use the colonist's homes and property. This act caused the colonist to act violently to show their disapproval of the act.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was an act that made all items to be taxed without consent because Great Britain needed money to pay off the debt they were in from the French and Indian War. The Colonists saw this was violating their rights so they decided to violently protest.
  • Declaratory Act

    The Declaratory Act was an act that helped repeal the Stamp Act. The colonist did not agree with the Stamp Act so the Declaratory Act did not phase them.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend Act enforced that all items of glass, paint, lead, tea, and paper are to be taxed. Due to this, colonists decide to boycott to remove Townshend Acts.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a riot that was caused by crowds harassing British soldiers, which ended with the soldiers shooting at the crowd. This riot angered the colonists and started petitioning against the actions.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was an act of protest in which was made to petition "No taxation without representation". Colonists liked this protest because they thought it would get the point across to the parliment.

    The Intolerable Acts stopped English soldiers from holding hearings and also stopped them from invading in the colonists' houses. Due to this, the colonists protested with strike.

    This act allowed the government to choose where the soldiers will stay. Due to this the colonists protested because they saw the parliament were not going to ask for consent.
  • Quebec Act

    The Quebec Act is an act that tries to end French Canadians. Instead it gave them more territory. The colonist were then scared because the French could become powerful.
