  • Proclamation of 1763

The Proclamation reserved all the west territory from the Allegheny Mountains, Florida, the Mississippi River, and Quebec to the Native Americans. The colonist were mad because it restricted movement and the British were controlling everything.
  • Sugar Act

It outlawed the importation of foreign rum and put a molasses from all sources and took off taxes on wine, silks, coffee, and other luxury items. Colonies were angry and protested because they still weren't getting the representation and these were valuable items for them.
  • Currency Act

It prevented paper bills of credit hereafter of King Georges colonies being made legal tender. The colonies didn't like this because they were a deficient trade area and were often shorthand of currency, so this would add a burden to their economy.
  • Quartering Act

The Quartering Act made it so the colonies had to provide royal troops with provisions and barracks. Colonies felt as if their privacy was being invaded and weren't happy about housing soldiers for free.
  • Stamp Act

It made it so all newspapers, broadsides, pamphlets, licenses, leases, and legal documents to have revenue stamps. Colonist felt betrayed by this because they didn't have any representation when the Stamp Act was being created and wether or not they wanted it to begin with.
  • Declaratory Act

The Declaratory Act finalized it so the Parliament could make laws binding the colonies "in all cases whatsoever." The colonist were happy and counted this as a victory.
  • Townshend Acts.

They were made to put taxes on goods that the colonies imported to raise revenue that would be used to support colonial officials and support the British army in America. The colonies argued that Parliament had the right to control imperial commerce but couldn't tax the colonies despite that.
  • Boston Massacre

This was an interaction between citizens and British soldiers at a protest when citizens threw things at them and British soldiers fired at them. Colonist were angry and outraged that some of their people died to British soldiers and Parliament repealed all of the Townshend acts except on tea.
  • Boston Tea Party

The Boston Tea Party was when men disguised as Mohawk Indians led by Samuel Adams dumped cargoes of tea from three British Ships into the water. The colonies were happy they did this because it showed the Parliament that they weren't happy about their decisions on them.
